CAPPS Annual Conference

California Miramar University attended the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) 23rd Annual Conference October 16-18, 2007 at the at the Hyatt Regency - La Jolla in beautiful La Jolla district of San Diego.

The three day event allowed owners, directors and top management from California’s proprietary sector to gather and discuss those issues unique to California. With approximately 300 attendees, representing independently owned California schools, the CAPPS Annual Conference was a great opportunity to meet decision-makers from the largest proprietary sector in the country.

CAPPS is the oldest and largest association of private postsecondary schools in California with over 300 School and Allied Members who provide valuable vocational and professional training, products and services to Californians.

CAPPS works directly with the Governor's Office, the State Legislature, the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and the other regulatory entities. CAPPS has solid working relationships with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), EdFund, California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC), and accrediting commissions.

CAPPS provides professional and continuing education for school administrators, admissions representatives, and educators. CAPPS administers a scholarship program in conjunction with member schools enabling more students to attend private postsecondary schools in California. -- http://cappsonline.org
